Adonay Bermúdez is an independent curator. His projects generally cover topics that relate to social commitment and politics, specifically he tries to analyze the concepts of (post-)colonialism, tourism, androcentrism or migratory flows. He has curated exhibitions at MADC (Costa Rica), Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque (Spain), Instituto Cervantes de Roma (Italy), Artpace San Antonio (USA), MUDAS (Portugal), Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Quito (Ecuador) or ExTeresa Arte Actual (Mexico), among others. He was worked as Director of the International Video Art Festival Between Islands (2014-2017), guest curator at PlanoLisboa 2016 (Portugal), Scientific Committee of Over The Real International Videoart Festival (Italy, 2016-2018), curator in 2018 of Contemporary Art Month in San Antonio (USA), guest curator at César Manrique Foundation (Spain, 2019-2020) and curator at Ayudas INJUVE (Government of Spain).
