Audrée Anid is a guest curator of ArtConnect's Artists to Watch ‘22


Audrée Anid is a Lebanese-American mixed-media artist and independent curator with experience in both the commercial and nonprofit arts sector of New York City. Audrée was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and grew up in the Bronx and is now based in Brooklyn.

In 2018, she co-founded RATA Projects, an independent curatorial initiative aimed at supporting and showcasing emerging artists. Audrée is currently an Associate Director at James Cohan Gallery in New York where she has curated several exhibitions including “Borders” in January 2019, works by Nam June Paik, and exhibitions by Palestinian-American artist Jordan Nassar, master ceramicist Toshiko Takaezu, and the pioneering Iranian artist Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian.

While at the gallery, she has facilitated and overseen various free interdisciplinary public programs including artist talks, discussions with contemporary writers and critics, and musical performances. Recent curatorial projects at James Cohan Gallery include a solo exhibition by Delhi-based artist Gauri Gill and the Winter 2022 group exhibition "A Través".
