Nina Marlene Kraus is a guest curator of ArtConnect's Artists to Watch ‘23


Nina Marlene Kraus is an art historian and curator based in Berlin. She holds an MA in art history, having studied at Humboldt University and Technical University in Berlin, as well as Krakow, Poland and Santa Cruz, CA.

Currently, she is working for the three municipal galleries Neukölln, Berlin: Galerie im Körnerpark, Galerie im Saalbau and Kunstbrücke am Wildenbruch.

She held positions at international cultural institutions, among others the German Archaeological Institute in Athens, Galerie Tanja Wagner Berlin, the curatorial residency program Ludlow 38 in New York and Berliner Festspiele. She has given several talks at international conferences, contributed to the Journal for Curatorial Studies and was part of the independent curatorial collective artburst berlin, with which she organised group shows in project spaces throughout Berlin.

Her current research focusses on the narratives of feminist art history, performance in the context of bodily autonomy as well as institutional critique.
