Fully Funded Residencies with Upcoming Deadlines

Grants - Accommodation - Studio - Travel. These five residency programs are all fully-funded and are prepared to accept incoming international artists.


Alex Brown Foundation - Des Moines, Indiana, United States

Alex Brown Foundation’s residency at Mainframe Studios provides the opportunity for emerging and established artists to work in an environment that is neither a bustling metropolis, nor an isolated rural setting. A highlight of the program is the exceptional 130sqm studio, which allows resident artists to closely focus on and develop their work.


Location: Des Moines, Indiana, United States
Duration: Eight weeks
Rewards: $1,000 USD monthly stipend, one-bedroom apartment, travel reimbursement and studio

Open Futures 2022 - Limerick, Ireland

The Open Futures 2022 residency program organized by Light Moves Festival acts as an incubator for work at the intersection of dance and digital media practices. It invites collaborative applications proposed by one dancer and one media artist who are interested in interdisciplinary approaches.


Location: Limerick, Ireland
Duration: Two weeks
Rewards: €5,000 bursary, €750 weekly stipend, accommodation, studio, travel and festival
Deadline: March 18, 2022

 

FRESH AIR #8 - Berlin, Germany

Organized by the Berliner Leben Foundation, the FRESH AIR #8 residency program offers the chance for artists to become integrated into the vibrant cultural scene of Berlin for a period of 12 months. The theme of this iteration of the program is LINGUISTIC XPEDITION, so projects that focus on the construction and implications of language are highly welcomed.

Duration: 12 months
Rewards: €900 monthly stipend for living, materials and travel, as well as free accommodation and studio
Deadline: March 31, 2022

an• other here - Montbrun-les-Bains, France

an• other here is a nomadic residency program designed for artists, curators and art practitioners that takes place in varying locations chosen for their cultural and historical richness. This iteration takes place in a quiet location in the mountains just outside of the small village of Montbrun-les-Bains.

Location: Montbrun-les-Bains, France
Duration: One month
Rewards: €1,200 honorarium, accommodation, round-trip travel, production costs and exhibition
Deadline: March 31, 2022

Distance and Resistance - Sofia, Bulgaria

Radar Sofia is the first and only residency in Bulgaria that focuses on dramaturgy in an expanded sense. Their Distance and Resistance program asks incoming residents how artistic practice may respond to our current times that are marked by a transition to the digital as well as increasing isolation.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria
Duration: One month, with possibility of extension
Rewards: €800 stipend, accommodation, up to €200 travel and up to €400 for production costs
Deadline: May 31, 2022 for residencies starting in September or October
