Multidisciplinary Art Residencies

Bethany Arts Community (New York, United States)

Bethany Arts Community mission is to create a space and environment where the many forms of art can be learned, produced and flourish. Artists of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to explore and create art that the community can experience and be engaged in while enhancing their perception and perspective of the world.


Location: New York, United States
Duration: Two weeks
Rewards: The Residency includes room, board, and $225 stipend per week.
Deadline: April 15, 2022

Sitka Center (Otis, United States)

Each year, the Sitka Center awards residencies to individuals and collaborators exploring art, ecology and the fertile space in-between. Residency durations range from two weeks to three months.


Location: Otis, United States
Duration: Two months
Rewards: $1,500 stipend, each resident receives private living space and, if needed, private studio space.
Deadline: April 15, 2022

 

School of Arts Porto (Porto, Portugal)

The School presents itself as an artistic school, focusing in the development of artists with technological knowledge but also with a humanistic education, fostering future directors or visual artists that can think the world around us.

Location: Porto, Portugal
Duration: three months
Rewards: €6,000 artist funding, travel, production, accommodation and meals
Deadline: April 15, 2022

 


ARCAthens (Athens, Greece)

Founded in 2017, ARCAthens is a not-for-profit organization offering two Athens Residency Fellowships (Visual Art and Curatorial) providing fully-funded live/work spaces that allow artists, curators, and scholars to be immersed in—and consequently respond to—the ongoing cultural renaissance taking place in Athens.

Location: Athens, Greece
Duration: Two month
Rewards: The residency is fully funded, the organisation provides accommodation and production
Deadline: May 1, 2022

 

Jan van Eyck Academie (Maastricht, Netherlands)

The Jan van Eyck Academie is committed to exploring the agency, roles, and civic significance of art, design and other creative practices in relation to the climate crisis, environmental breakdown, and their manifold effects.

Location: Maastricht, Netherlands
Duration: Six months
Rewards: € 1091 production budget, acommodation, production
