Bundanon | Artist Residencies & Fellowships

Established in 1997, Bundanon’s Artist-in-Residence has grown to become the largest program of its kind in Australia, hosting over 250 artists annually. Artists, groups, and organisations from around the globe and across all creative disciplines are encouraged to apply. Structured through partnerships with leading arts organisations, companies, cultural agencies, and patrons, the program facilitates creative exploration and offers participants an expansive environment to develop their artistic practice and engage with fellow creative minds.

Rewards: Accommodation, studio & funding through fellowships.

The Farm Margaret River | Funded Residency

The Artist in Residence program at The Farm Margaret River provides a unique opportunity for visual artists to undertake focused, site-responsive artworks. Located on a rural property in the south west of Western Australia, known as Wadandi Country. The program supports artists to develop ambitious work in direct response to environmental, ecological, agricultural and/or the cultural context.

Rewards: Artist fee of $15,000, accommodation, studio, travel costs to and from Margaret River, & more.

Megalo Print Studio | Artist in Residence

Megalo’s artist-in-residence program is the only printmaking residency of its kind in Australia. Through an annual callout, this program gives artists a unique opportunity to access Megalo Print Studio - Australia’s largest printmaking studio - to experiment with ideas and make new work. Open to national and international applicants.

Rewards: Artist stipend, materials allowance, access to printmaking facilities, & accommodation for artists from outside the region.

Watch This Space | Travelling Artist in Residence

Watch This Space (WTS) is an artist-led organisation established in 1993, manifesting publicly as a vital collective resource in Mparntwe. It is a site for experimentation, artistic expression, critical conversation and making. Amongst their gallery and six studio spaces, Watch This Space reserves one studio for artists living interstate, overseas or outside the NT’s Central Desert region. Travelling artists are invited to inhabit the studio for 4, 6 or 8 weeks.

Rewards: Studio, $750 artist fee, & more.

Gang Gang Residencies

This process-oriented residency cultivates an environment where artists and environmental scientists can craft their experience as they wish; whether that may be through conceptual development, research, or intervention and experimentation. As a remote residency located in a unique, stunning, and challenging environment, Gang Gang encourages artists to draw inspiration from place, and take advantage of the solitude (and presence) our surrounding environment provides.
