Whether you want to be published in a magazine or win a prestigious award, there are many different opportunities that can help your career take off. And even if you don't win any awards, just having your work seen by others can be immensely rewarding.

Prix Camera Clara | Clara Camera Prize
Created in 2012, the Camera Clara photography prize is reserved for artists working with large format cameras. It rewards an original, unpublished work presented as a series or photographic ensemble so that it can be judged on its coherence, both in form and content.
Rewards: €8,000 cash prize
Kometa | Fellows 2026
The Kometa Fellows programme supports writers and photographers who document reality in contexts of war, censorship or severe political and social tensions. They support ambitious, on-the-ground projects that are driven by a strong voice, an original approach and a genuine commitment to storytelling.
Rewards: €10.000 to be paid over a period of one year

The Royal Photographic Society | The Eamonn McCabe Bursary
In recognition of the significant legacy and widely-held respect across photography for Eamonn McCabe, the RPS, in partnership with Eamonn McCabe's family and The Guardian , has launched the Eamonn McCabe bursary. The bursary will provide £3000 to a photographer aged 30 years or under to deliver a photography project responding to the theme of ‘sporting endeavour’. This can be interpreted as widely as the applicant wishes, but the general approach should be suitable for publication.

Ian Parry Scholarship | Photojournalism Grant 2026
The Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant is an international photographic competition for young photographers who are 24 years of age or under, or anyone who is studying in a full-time photographic course.

The Art of Building | Photographer-in-Residence
1906 Group, a privately held asset creation company in real estate, construction, and finance, seeks their seventh Photographer-in-Residence, as part of The Art of Building program.
The Photographer-in-Residence will spend 12-18 months visiting their jobsites, offices, and manufacturing facilities across the United States, capturing the “Art of Building.” The Photographer-in-Residence’s mission is to think creatively of their jobsites as a “blank canvas” and to provide a distinctive representation of their workforce, industry, and product.
Rewards: Annual salary of ~ $80K+, travel/temporary housing expense reimbursement, and exhibition and/or publication

eidolon Centre | The eidolon Grant 2026
The eidolon Grant is an international programme that is presented annually to artists, academics, professionals, researchers, collectors and vernacular photography enthusiasts whose past work and proposed project is centred around the image heritage of everyday photography. The grant is divided into two categories:
Category 1 invites projects that critically engage with the evolving phenomena of digital images, social media platforms, networked image cultures, and their social, political, historical, and aesthetic implications in the 21st century.
Category 2 seeks projects that engage with the significance of 19th and 20th-century everyday photography, through both private and public archives, whether hidden or well-known, and explore collective histories and memories.
Rewards: €25,000 grant (total across both programs)
CitiesToBe | Photo Award 26
Since 2020, the CitiesToBe Photo Award has invited photographers and visual artists from around the world to explore the complexity of contemporary cities through the image, understanding photography as a tool for critical reflection on urban life. For the first time, the award dedicates its edition to a specific theme: third places.
Rewards: €1,500 winning prize and €500 for 5 finalists
Premio Raccont'Arti | Contemporary Photography Award 2026
"Raccont'arti" is a free international open call for photographers and visual artists, aimed at mapping the state of contemporary photography. The 2026 edition explores "Beyond the visible: the image of absence". The Prize invites artists to investigate absence not as subtraction, but as a stratification of space and time. Works should map what remains when action subsides, treating space as an active infrastructure of signs and interactions.
The call includes two categories: Open, for all artists, and Student, for those currently enrolled in art schools or who graduated within the past year.
Rewards: €3,000 (Open), €500 (Student), and group exhibition

World Photography Organisation | Contemporary Photography Award 2026
With its unparalleled reach, the Sony World Photography Awards elevate the careers of photographers to the next level. The theme of the 13th Eurostars Madrid Tower Photography Award is Madrid’s facades. The city of Madrid is a mosaic of stories, styles, and eras reflected in its facades. In this edition, we invite photographers to explore that visual diversity and capture the details that make each building a one-of-a-kind canvas.
