UNC Asheville Art and Art History | In the Round: 3rd Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Competition

For this competition, seven works will be selected by the juror and displayed for two years around the newly renovated and state-of-the-art Owen Hall within the UNC Asheville campus. Exhibitions will take place October 2026 through to September 2028. This competition is open to artists 18 years or older currently residing in the United States.

Rewards: Stipend of $2000, exhibition, $3000 in cash prizes available


North Carolina Botanical Garden | Sculpture in the Garden

This annual show unites the work of local artists with the curated landscapes of the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill. This year’s show will run from Sunday, September 13 through Sunday, December 6. To apply, you must be 18 or older. As each artist is responsible for transporting their own work, local and North Carolina artists are encouraged to enter.

Sculpture Tucson | Invisible Force - Sound in Sculpture

Sculpture Tucson invites artists to submit work for their juried exhibition exploring the sculptural potential of sound. Sound sculpture bridges object, environment, and performance; it may vibrate, react to wind or touch, use digital systems, or shape acoustic spaces. Works range from participatory pieces to evolving sound environments. The exhibition will be on view November 29, 2026 – June 6, 2027.

Location: Tucson, Arizona

Rewards: $2,500 stipend and exhibition


Weber State University | Dumke Arts Plaza Public Sculpture

Proposals sought for temporary, 6-month loan of a sculpture to Weber State University. The artwork will be on display at Dumke Arts Plaza, part of a lively downtown arts area called the Nine Rails Creative District. Proposals should be for four sculptures or a site-specific installation and can include a video component.

Location: Ogden, Utah

Rewards: $35,000 budget

James Renwick Alliance for Craft | The Chrysalis Award

The Chrysalis Award was created by the James Renwick Alliance for Craft to support and inspire emerging craft artists in the United States. Each year, the award focuses on a different medium. This year’s award will recognize an emerging artist working in ceramics. Eligible applicants are those who are in the early stages of their professional artistic careers—regardless of age—and who have completed their training within the past five years.
