Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation | Sight/Geist

The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation has announced an open call for the seventh season of Sight/Geist, a series that supports emerging NYC-based film and performance artists. NYC-based artist working primarily in contemporary art and moving-image practices are invited to apply.

Rewards: Standard artist fees of $300 for a group screening, $500 for a solo screening, and $750 for a solo performance (with $250 for production costs). Artwork exhibited/performed at The 8th Floor gallery near Union Square.


New York State Council on the Arts | Support For Artists

Support for Artists showcases the power of the individual by enabling them to successfully realize their visions. NYSCA supports the creation of new work by New York State artists through artist-initiated projects across a wide range of areas. Artists at any career stage are welcome to apply.

It is important to note that each application by an individual artist must be sponsored by an eligible New York State nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization.

Rewards: $10,000 grant

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning | ARTWorks Fellowship: 2026-2027

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) invites New York City-based visual artists to apply for its Artist Fellowship Training Seminar Series (ARTWorks), a six-month Fellowship that focuses on career sustainability and amplifies the work of emerging, underrepresented visual artists. While all New York City-based visual artists may apply, priority will be given to Queens-based BIIPOC artists.

Rewards: $5,000 stipend, studio space, and exhibition

Civil Art | Art House 26’-27’

Art House is an emerging artist incubator and leadership program that provides mentorship, accessibility, and opportunities for recently graduated Asian/Pacific Islander (API) emerging artists. By providing equitable opportunities and visibility, Art House acts as a bridge that connects API artists with the larger art community and a foundation for success in the art world. The second cycle of the Art House program runs from August 2026 to April 2027.

Rewards: Program participation provides mentorship and further opportunities.


Queens Museum | 2027-2028 QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists

The QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship Program for Emerging Artists in New York City will award two visual artists fellowships as well as solo exhibitions at the Queens Museum in 2028. The fellowship is open to emerging visual artists living in the five boroughs of New York City. An emerging artist is defined as one who is at the beginning of their public career: with at least 2 years, but no more than 10 years of experience generating new artistic works outside of a degree-granting program.

Rewards: $20,000 grant, professional development consultations, mentorship, and more
