The Menil Drawing Institute for pre-doctoral fellows is an open application for American and international scholars and artists. This open call provides the highest level of scholarship and makes possible rich, interdisciplinary, object-based conversations on the drawing medium’s history, theory, criticism, and practice.

Furman University | True Inspiration Artist-In-Residence
The Department of Art at Furman University invites applications for the Fall 2026 True Inspiration Artist-in-Residence. The program awards an eight-to-sixteen-week residency on Furman’s campus in Greenville, SC to a practicing artist or designer to continue the development of ongoing studio projects and/or embark upon new creative endeavors.

Duration: 8-16 weeks
Rewards: $6,000 stipend for material and living expenses, $500 budget for supplies & private studio space
The Jeffrey Ahn, Jr. Fellowship
The Jeffrey Ahn, Jr. Fellowship is an annual award for young artists to produce extraordinary independent projects. Each year, the winning Fellow is chosen by a distinguished jury of artists, curators, gallerists, and established art professionals. In providing creative capital to young people, the Fellowship seeks to foster a positive educational and creative process that empowers them to be working artists for a summer.
Rewards: $10,000 including but not limited to materials, museum/gallery admission, and/or tuition for creative instruction.
Field Projects | Solo Show & Residency Fellowship 2026
Field Projects is teaming up with In Situ Polyculture Commons, an arts residency and eco-cultural catalyst to offer a 2026 Solo Show & Residency Fellowship. This opportunity includes a 2-3 week art residency in Vermont in summer 2026, a solo exhibition in NYC plus an artist stipend.

Duration: 3 weeks

The James Jones Literary Society | First Novel Fellowship
The James Jones First Novel Fellowship is an annual award of $10,000 for unpublished American authors. This open call allows writers to receive funding for their projects as well as publish their first novel. The Fellowship is co-sponsored by the James Jones Literary Society, in Creative Writing at Wilkes University.
Rewards: $10,000 in funding, $3,000 First runner up award & $2,000 second runner up
