DAAD | Artists-in-Berlin Program
The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program is one of the most renowned residency programs for international artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of visual arts, film, literature, and music & sound. Each year, it awards residencies in Berlin to around twenty outstanding cultural producers. Fellows receive support from the Artists-in-Berlin Program to develop and present exhibitions, concerts, performances, film projects, readings, and publications.

Urban Nation| Fresh A.I.R.
For artists in the fields of urban and new contemporary art, Urban Nation’s Fresh A.I.R. program in Berlin is an opportunity that shouldn’t be overlooked. This fully-funded 11-month residency program not only allows artists to develop their work in a city known for its street art, but also to work on their projects in stunning studio spaces.
Rewards: €700 monthly stipend, accommodation, €300 per month materials, €100 per month travel & more.

Künstlerhaus Bethanien| International Studio Programme
Arguably one of the most renowned residency programs in Germany, Künstlerhaus Bethanien’s International Studio Programme is an outstanding opportunity for artists to develop their work in a supportive environment. On top of a bursary, which covers all residency-related costs, artists have the opportunity to present their work in an Open Studio event and benefit from scheduled visits by renowned curators, journalists, and art historians.

Callie’s | Artist Residency Program
Callie’s is a non-profit and experimental institution in Berlin that considers itself a “laboratory for expansive thinking”. Their residency program for artists in any discipline is entirely self-directed, meaning that there are no requirements to produce or present work in a final exhibition. In this way, Callie’s residency program is tailored towards the needs of each artist, offering them the freedom to decide what is important for themselves.

Bauhaus Earth | Experimental Fellowship
Fellowship projects are designed to span 6 to 9 months and are intended as open-ended practice implementation. They welcome a broad spectrum of emerging international practitioners in the fields of architecture, design and engineering, art, and cross-disciplinary constellations of architectural production

Stiftung Starke | Artist in Residence Program
For a period of 3-12 months, Starke Foundation offers a free residency program to artists, including accommodation and workspace in Berlin. Their program is particularly focused on young, emerging artists, offering them the opportunity to be connected with significant players in the art world, from institutions to curators and collectors.

Cordts Art Foundation | Women Artists in Residence Program
Located in the unique island of Schwanenwerder in the south of Berlin, Cordts Art Foundation has established a unique residency program specifically aimed at women artists. The program encourages women artists to develop their art as well as network with members of the art world for a period of 3-10 months. The residency culminates in a final exhibition, reading or concert which is an excellent opportunity to get feedback from a wider audience.

Nipkow Programm | Residency for Media Professionals
The Nipkow Program is a fellowship opportunity for international film and media professionals who wish to develop a project in Berlin. The program offers mentorship and training on different stages of film/media production such as packaging, promotion, sales and new technologies. At the core of the program is the aim to enable international collaborations and encourage worldwide distribution.
