Discovery Center | Artist In Residence Program
This Artist-in-Residence Program (AIR) offers Tennessee artists an opportunity to showcase their talents while fostering creative exploration among children of all ages. One 6-week residencies are available for 2027. Local and regional artists are encouraged to apply. During the residency, the artist will develop participatory workshops and hands-on demonstrations that lead to a culminating piece/installation that will be exhibited at the museum.

Chinkapin Craftstead | Artist In Residence
This rural residency offers a space for artists to have time for their creative process to unfold. Chinkapin Craftstead facilitates artist residencies that are up to two weeks in length between March and November, and can host up to three people at a time. The surrounding land encompasses 300 acres with a garden and hiking trails through some old growth trees, springs and meadows.

Appalachian Center for Craft | Artist In Residence
This Artist in Residence Program (AIR) allows emerging professional artists to work in the Appalachian Center for Craft’s immersive studio environment. The AIR program is a one-year appointment, renewable for up to an additional year. Each studio (clay, fibers, glass, metals, wood, and exhibitions) has an Artist in Residence with a BFA, MFA or professional equivalent.

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts | Artists-In-Residence
For over 30 years Arrowmont has welcomed Artists-in-Residence (AIRs) to campus for an 11-month, self-directed residency. This unique program provides 5 early-career artists the time, space and support needed to create new work, while actively participating in our robust community of artists, students and staff.

Stove Works | Residency
From February through November of each year, Stove Works’ Artist Residency invites eight artists to live/work for one to three months at a time. The residency serves as a moment away from the rigamarole of life and an opportunity for artists to take advantage of the dedicated time, space, resources, and community that is offered.

Crosstown Arts offers multidisciplinary residencies in Memphis, TN, to visiting and Memphis-based artists and curators working in any creative discipline including visual and performing arts, music, film, and writing in all genres. All residencies include a private studio workspace.

Longhaven Artist Residency | Residency
The residency is located on ninety wooded acres in Knoxville, Tennessee. Artists live in rehabilitated historic log cabins and have access to new, purpose-built studio space. The residency is completely funded. All Loghaven Fellows are awarded stipends to support the creation of new work during the residency.
