For Edition 16, Amsterdam Light Festival are looking for creatives from all over the world to present their light artwork on the iconic canals of Amsterdam. While primarily looking for new works to present, they are also open to existing works.

FOTODOKS | Open Call 2027
FOTODOKS festival for contemporary documentary photography in Munich is returning in October 2027. The thirteenth edition is rooted in an open call for projects that reflect on care and its connections to politics, emotions, and intimate relationships.
Rewards: €500 artist fee for single artists, €800 for duos, and up to €1200 for collectives. Plus travel, accommodation, production, and more.

Busan Metropolitan City | Open Call for Land-Ecological Art
Eulsukdo is one of Korea’s major migratory bird habitats, supporting diverse forms of life, however, industrialisation and urban development have significantly altered its environment and contributed to biodiversity loss. Busan Metropolitan City invites artists from around the world to propose and develop a site-responsive work in dialogue with Eulsukdo’s ecology, landscape, history, and environment.
Rewards: 380,000,000 KRW for artwork production, artist fee of 20,000,000 KRW, and more.

Data Through Design | DxD Open Call 2027
Data Through Design (DxD) is an annual exhibition featuring art works that creatively analyze, interpret, and interrogate data made available in New York City’s Open Data portal. They commission 7-10 projects for each exhibition in a wide range of media and formats. Open to US artists.

Karlsruhe UNESCO City of Media Arts | Connecting Worlds Award
Through this award, projects will be funded and presented as part of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival and the exhibition Media art is here in Karlsruhe. The city are looking for interactive projection mapping ideas responding to the motto “PLAYGROUND”.

ART4MENTAL | Photo Grant
Artists across Europe are invited to apply for this grant supporting the development of immersive VR content and scenarios. Selected artists will receive funding for creating therapeutic VR videos, will have excess to educational sessions, practical study visits to rehabilitation and recovery centers, and the presentation of their works at large conferences and exhibitions as well as across educational institutions.
Rewards: €5,000 grant, residency program in Ukraine, exhibition in Poland, mentorship, and more
