Casa de Velázquez is a French institution that has been actively supporting research and creative practices since 1928 in the heart of Madrid's university district. At the intersection of disciplines, it focuses its activities on residency programs, production support mechanisms, and a wide range of internal and external programming.

Throughout the year there are various open calls for short and long-term residencies.

Matadero Madrid

Nestled within the historic industrial architecture of early 20th-century Madrid, Matadero Madrid stands as a dynamic and transformative space. It is not merely a venue but a living entity that breathes life into creative processes, fosters participatory artistic training, and encourages meaningful dialogue across diverse art forms.

This residency space, based in a 5000 square meters campus, is open to visual artists, musicians, writers, researchers, curators and creatives in arts and culture. Throughout the year there are various open calls residencies.

#Ey!Studio | International Studio Programme

The organization offers several residency programs, amoung these programs are the "Residencias #Ey!MAD," a curated research residency program designed for Spanish and Ibero-American artists.

The focus of these residencies is to explore projects inspired by the context of Carabanchel, addressing issues that deeply concern the local community.
