COMEL Award | 13th Edition
For the thirteenth edition of the COMEL Award, designers and artists are invited to engage with the theme “Future Intertwinings”, interpreting aluminium as both material and language capable of narrating connections, transformations, and unexpected possibilities. The award is open to European designers and artists who use aluminium as the primary and significant element of the work submitted.
Rewards: €3,500, solo exhibition, publication, and more
Van Alen Institute | Open Access: Exploring 130 Years of American Design
Van Alen Institute’s archive, comprising thousands of competition boards, jury records, photographs, and correspondence, is one of the most significant collections of American architectural history in existence.
This open call positions the archive not as a museum piece but as living material, something to be questioned, and held accountable to the present. Van Alen invites emerging designers and creatives of all disciplines to delve into their archive and consider its material through the lens of open and fair access.

The Creative Industries Fund NL | Fresh Perspectives
With this open call, the Fund is supporting designers and architects in developing fresh perspectives on social, political and economic issues, whilst also stimulating cross-sector collaborations with other organisations to come to new and surprising products, services, knowledge, approaches or applications. The open call focuses on cross-sectoral collaborations, in which parties work together to approach a social issue in a new way.
Rewards: €10,000-€50,000 grant
MAK - Museum of Applied Arts | Schindler Scholarship
The MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna, is awarding to two advanced students of architecture scholarships for residency at the Mackey Apartments, Los Angeles, in 2027/2028. Due to its purposeful and practice-oriented structure the Scholarship Program provides an opportunity for a broad discourse with topical questions of art and architecture.

Desall | Future Snack Design
A leading company in the food & beverage sector, in collaboration with Desall, is looking for innovative concepts for a snack, either sweet or savory, aimed at a young consumer audience. The project should develop not only the food product itself but also its related branding, defining a clear and coherent identity capable of standing out for personality, contemporary relevance, and overall consumption experience.
Rewards: Winning Design: €5,000 and Acquisition Award: €2,000
University of Saskatchewan | The Structurist Creative Research Fellowship
This fellowship was established to carry forward the critical intentions of The Structurist: an international, interdisciplinary journal that addresses art, architecture, ecology, culture, and communication. The program is available to individuals pursuing research and creative work engaged in the thematics and intersections brought forward in The Structurist.
Projects by architects/artists must culminate in a form that will be available to the public, such as publication, exhibition, film or other media, actions, performance.
Rewards: Budget of 20,000 CAD
